Weather forecasters with the National Weather Service have added Winter Weather Advisories for the potential of winter precipitation.
The latest advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service in Springfield and includes the Branson area. The advisory begins at 9:00 pm and will go until Noon on Tuesday. Counties include Barry, Christian, Stone, Taney, and Ozark Counties. The metro Springfield Area is also included in this advisory.
The advisory says that total sleet and snow of up to one inch and accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations from a light glaze up to a tenth of an inch are possible. The precipitation could lead to slick road conditions impacting the morning commute.
The National Weather Service in Tulsa has also issued a Winter Weather Advisory for areas of Carroll and Madison Counties for potential Freezing Rain this evening.
A Winter Weather Advisory was earlier issued by the NWS Office in Little Rock for the higher elevations of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas including southwestern Boone County as well as most of Newton and parts of Searcy Counties.
