As a storm system moves closer to the Lakes Region, forecasters with the National Weather Service continue to update their predictions for possible winter weather for next week.
Cold air will settle back in on Sunday with precipitation expected to begin on Monday. Current forecast models for the Lakes Region calls for mainly a rain event with the first wave on Monday into Tuesday with snow likely for the second wave on Wednesday.
Forecasters advise that the track of the storm may change and even a slight deviation could change the precipitation amounts and types.
