AJGA Bass Pro Shops/Payne Stewart Junior Championship Returns to Lakes Region

The American Junior Golf Association's annual tournament in the Lakes Region is coming up.

The Bass Pro Shops/Payne Stewart Junior Championship takes place Monday through Thursday at Buffalo Ridge. The tournament will feature golfers ages 12-19 competing for an AJGA Tournament Championship. 

Some area players participating in the event include Jaxon Bailey of Monett, Max Bowman and Gaige Lewis of Springfield, Noah Naugle of Nixa, and Ben Presley of Branson. Other boy and girl players from Missouri and Arkansas are also among the players in the field. 

Competition will begin with a practice round on Monday with the three round tournament to take place Tuesday through Thursday.
