
Several Lakes Area Wrestlers are competing in the Missouri State Championships.
Some of the wrestlers have already begun competition while others will get underway this week at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Reeds Spring
Lady Wolf Lindsey Keithley has gone 1-2 in competition in the Class 1 140 Weight Class. Keithley lost her first round match, then rebounded for a win in the first Wrestleback before being eliminated in the second consolation round.
Hollister
Three Tiger wrestlers, Carter Whitman, Cole Escobar, and Bryson Whitman are at the state tournament with Bryson Whitman qualifying as a Class 1 District Champion at 157.
In Columbia, Bryson Whitman won his opening match, then after a loss in the quarterfinals, has moved through to the consolation finals today. Carter Whitman, competing at 106, also won an opening round match before losing in the quarterfinal, then grabbing one consolation win before being eliminated in his fourth match. Cole Escobar dropped his opening match at 138, then picked up a wrestleback win before being eliminated.
Branson
Ryzen Isringhausen will take part in the Class 4 140 Weight Class Competition while two Lady Pirate Wrestlers, Alyssa Salemie at 115, and Natalie Gaytan at 235, are part of the Class 2 Girls Field.
