C of O vs Randall University – Game 1, Friday, April 19
Coming off a pair of losses at Southwestern Christian University on Tuesday, the Bobcats returned to the friendly confines of Coach Bob Smith Field for their final home series of the season.
Brody Baumann got the start on the mound in game one and quickly disposed of the Saints in the opening frame. A Ty Rush single was erased by a double play in the bottom half and the game moved to the second with neither team able to get the offense going. Baumann pitched around a single in the second and the Bobcats used a Rhett Hill single and two Saints miscues to score a pair of runs and take a 2-0 lead to the third. A double and a walk for the Saints in the third were stranded and the Bobcats returned to the plate looking to add to their lead. Singles by Trey Riley, Spencer Greene, Rhett Hill, and Hunter Lewis put a trio of runs on the board. A two-RBI double off the bat of Jake Leeker bumped the lead to 8-0 and the game moved to the fourth. Baumann cruised through the top of the inning and the Bobcats came up looking for more. Baumann continued to cruise on the mound and a Ty Rush single was combined with a Saints error to add another Bobcat tally. Both pitchers faced the minimum in the fifth and Baumann pitched out of a bases load jam in the sixth to keep the shutout intact. A quick three outs in the bottom of the inning sent the game to the seventh and Baumann faced the minimum to secure the 9-0 win.
Ty Rush and Rhett Hill had a pair of hits each to lead the Bobcats, while Spencer Greene, Hunter Lewis, Jake Leeker (2B), and Trey Riley each added a hit in the win. Baumann went the distance to pick up the shutout.

A walk to Greene was all the offense for the Cats in the fifth and things were getting interesting in the late innings. Greene pitched around an error in the top of the sixth and the Bobcats came up looking to build on their lead. A one out walk to Jake Leeker started the offense and a double by Charlie Parker put runners at second and third. A pair of fly ball outs ended the threat, however and the game moved to the seventh.
