One Branson Athlete had a big day in two different sports in two different locations.

Junior Andrew Bristow began his day in Sedalia playing in the final round of the Class 4 State Golf Tournament. Bristow entered the day just three shots off the lead and though he got off to a rough start, Bristow ended up shooting 75 to finish tied for seventh in the tournament. His teammate Ben Presley also had a strong tournament finishing tied for ninth.

After playing 18 holes, Bristow made his way down to Branson to play first base for the Pirates in their opening round District Baseball game against West Plains. The game ended up being a 14-inning marathon lasting over three and a half hours with Bristow getting the game tying sacrifice fly in the seventh inning then in the 14th, scoring the game winning run that earned the Pirates a 4-3 victory. Bristow and the Pirates play in the semi-finals this afternoon against Willard.
