High School Basketball Covered Tuesday on MOARK Sports includes a win for Branson.
The Pirates' first eight games of the season included seven against teams with winning records, including Tuesday night's contest at Cassville. Branson got off to a fast start, built a double digit lead in the first quarter and from their, never led by less than 10 points on their way to a 72-48 win. Jayce Culver led the Pirates with 20 points while Aiden Cook scored 12 for Cassville, who dropped to 5-2 for the season. Branson will take a 3-5 mark into next week's Blue and Gold Basketball Tournament at Missouri State University.
Also on MOARK Sports Tuesday night, the Spokane Owls hold off the Reeds Spring Wolves 47-39. Maverick Porter scored 11 for the Wolves while the Owls got 22 points from JD Tate.
Meanwhile in other action, Forsyth won their first game at the 12 Courts of Christmas Classic in Kansas City, defeating Ewing Marion Kauffman Academy 58-55 to remain undefeated on the season. The Panthers will wrap-up play at the classic today against KIPP KC Legacy.
