While postseason tournaments dominated the basketball schedule Wednesday, one area school had their regular season home finale.
In a game heard on MOARK Sports, the Branson Lady Pirates used a strong defensive second half to rally by Neosho 50-41 in a game rescheduled from earlier in the season due to the early February snow storm. The Lady Pirates trailed 32-26 but held the Lady Wildcats scoreless in the third quarter and surging to a six point lead entering the final period. Overall, Branson outscored Neosho 24-9 in the second half. Macy Rogers scored 16 to lead Branson with Ellison Mehroff and Taylor Foster adding 12 points each.
In postseason action on MOARK Wednesday, Crane ends Blue Eye's season in overtime with a 52-49 win in the Class 2 Boys District Semi-finals at Galena. The host and top seeded Bears were also eliminated as they were upset by Billings 54-37. Crane will meet Billings in the finals on Friday.
Tonight on MOARK Sports, Blue Eye matches up with Fordland in the Class 2 Girls District Semi-finals in Crane at 7:30 while in Boys action, Forsyth plays the regular season home finale against Monett.
