Three wins in two days for the College of the Ozarks Bobcats Baseball Team.
The recap of the series finale from College of the Ozarks Sports Information:
On a sunny day at Coach Bob Smith Field, the College of the Ozarks Bobcats completed a series win with a 7-1 victory in game three of the series with the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Drovers on Saturday. The Drovers came into the weekend series as the third place team in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings, so a series win is a big step for the Bobcats as the season moves to the final stretch.
The Bobcats' standout performance was highlighted by Craig Busse, who not only scored 3 runs but also hit a homerun, contributing significantly to the team's success. Busse's two singles and a double left him a triple shy of the cycle. Alongside him, players Charlie Parker and Trey Riley also made crucial contributions, with Parker knocking in 2 RBIs. The team's depth was on full display as players from various positions stepped up to bolster the scoreline.
Pitching was a cornerstone of the Bobcats' strategy, with Ty Thatcher throwing a complete game on just 100 pitches and allowing only 1 run. Thatcher's display of efficiency and control set the tone for the Bobcats' defense throughout the game. Additionally, Brody Baumann's pinch-hit sacrifice fly further solidified the team's late-game performance.
The Bobcats are 8-5 in their last 13 games, and they look to continue their momentum as they travel to Conway, Arkansas on Tuesday to face Central Baptist College and then continue their conference slate with a trip to McPherson, Kansas to face Central Christian College on April 4 and 5.
