C of O Split Opening Night Basketball Contests

The opening night of the 2022-23 College Basketball Season was a split result for the College of the Ozarks Basketball teams on the road at Tabor College.

For the Lady Bobcats, they built up a big lead only to see the home team roar back in the final minutes to tie the contest before the Lady Bobcats hit a late basket and two free throws to hold on for a 70-66 win. Kayley Frank led the Lady Bobcats with 23 points.

Meanwhile for the Men, the host Bluejays got off to a quick start and never looked back, using a 54 point first half to roll by the Bobcats 94-68. Seth Soden led the Bobcats with 15 points.

Both C of O teams will play again on Saturday with a trip to William Woods in Fulton, Mo.
