C of O Splits Final Home Basketball Games of Regular Season

In games covered by MOARK Sports in conjunction with College of the Ozarks, the school's basketball teams split their regular season home finales.

The Lady Bobcats avenge an earlier loss to Iowa Wesleyan as they roll over the Lady Tigers in Saturday's contest 65-49 behind the 15 point performance of Kayley Frank with Kyra  Hardesty adding 12 points. The Lady Bobcats came out of the halftime break and outscored the Lady Tigers 25-9 to move on to the win, their 18th of the season.

Meanwhile, the C of O Men hosted Ecclesia College and while each team had an opportunity to put the other away, it was the visiting Royals that finally grabbed the game edging out the Bobcats 73-69. The Bobcats had a 10 point first half lead while the Royals pulled ahead to a nine point second half lead before the teams exchanged the lead in the last two minutes with a pair of conversions off of turnovers turning out to be the difference in the game. Andrew Mitchell led the Bobcats with 19 points.

C of O and Ecclesia meet again Tuesday night in Springdale before both the Bobcats and Lady Bobcats close out the regular season next Saturday in Springfield against Baptist Bible College.
