The College of the Ozarks Basketball teams sweep their games on Senior Day with the women winning 58-30 and the men 75-61 over Oklahoma Panhandle State,

Women
In dominant fashion, the College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats clinched a decisive 58-30 victory against the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies. The game, which took place at the Keeter Gym on Saturday, saw the Lady Bobcats dominate during senior day.

From the onset, the Lady Bobcats established an early advantage, leading the first period with a 19-0 score, showcasing their defense. Key players like Susie Moran, who topped the scoring with 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Allyssa Joyner, with notable three-pointers, led the team. The team's defensive strategy was evident as they held the Aggies to only 17 points by halftime, with the game proceeding to 36-17 in favor of the Bobcats.

The second half saw continued dominance by the Lady Cats, extending their lead to as much as 25 points. Noteworthy plays included significant contributions from Savannah Ketchum, who not only scored 5 points but also led in rebounds with 14, making her presence known under both baskets. Taylor Rush and Abbey Linville were instrumental on defense, collectively disrupting the Aggies' attempts to gain momentum.

As the final buzzer echoed in Keeter Gym, the Lady Bobcats emerged sizeable win with a closing score of 58-30, further enhancing their solid record this season to 16-9 overall, and 14-7 in conference play. The game also marked a touching Senior day recognition, honoring the graduating players, Blythe Benefield, Abbey Linville, and Taylor Rush prior to tipoff. Susie Moran was also recognized for scoring her 1000th point as a Lady Cat.

Looking ahead, the Lady Bobcats are preparing to face Wayland Baptist University on Monday, aiming to continue their winning streak and strong season finish. The Lady Cats will tip-off at 3 PM at Keeter Gym.

Men
On senior day at Keeter Gymnasium, the College of the Ozarks Bobcats secured a decisive win against the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies with a final score of 75-61.

From the opening tip, the Bobcats displayed determination and balanced team play. Jay Baxter opened the scoring with an impressive jumper, setting the tone for the Bobcats. Andrew Dalton contributed significantly with 19 points including critical 3-pointers, leading the charge for the Bobcats. The first period ended with the Bobcats already ahead, 42-25, courtesy of DJ Quarles, who not only scored 17 points in the first half but also showcased his defensive skills with a crucial steal and layup.

The second half saw the Aggies attempting a comeback, but the Bobcats maintained their lead. Defensive plays and turnovers forced by Quarles and Jay Baxter kept the momentum with the Cats. A pivotal 3-pointer by Caleb Faulkner helped secure the biggest lead of the game. The match concluded with the Bobcats leading 75-61, demonstrating their defensive strength, which played a vital role in their victory.

Seniors Caleb Faulkner and Kyle Flavin were honored before the game as part of the Bobcats' senior day festivities. The two played a vital role in the victory, both scoring from beyond the arc and leading their team.

The Bobcats' next game is scheduled for Monday, February 17 against Wayland Baptist University, as they look to build momentum for the final stretch.
