Cal Ripken Day 5: Pool Play Wraps-up, Bracket Play Begins

Pool play wrapped up at the Cal Ripken Major 70 World Series Tuesday at Ballparks of America.

The top two teams in each pool move on to the Championship Bracket while the remaining teams will continue play in the Iron Bracket.

All of the regional teams will be in the Iron Bracket with Branson finishing fourth in their bracket and playing Australia Thursday at 7:00.

Bryant, Arkansas had the highest finish of a regional team, tying for second in their pool but finishing third due to a tiebreaker. Bryant could see the other Arkansas squad in tournament play as Hot Springs will play Dover, NH today with the winner to play Bryant on Thursday.

The other Missouri representative, Booneville, plays today at 11:30 am against Cherry Hills, NJ weather permitting.
