Friday Football results include a home opening loss for Branson and another win for Harrison in the rivalry with Mountain Grove.
In Branson, the Pirates hosted the top ranked team in Class 5, and Carthage lived up to billing with a 49-0 win. The Tigers all-state running back Luke Gall scored five of the six touchdowns scored in the first half including two on runs of 60 and 30 yards respectively. Gall and Quarterback Cooper Jadwin, who scored the Tigers other first half touchdown, did not play the second half. The Tiger defense also held the Pirates in check allowing only one first down for the game.
Meanwhile in Harrison, the Goblins claimed their 10th straight win in their series over Mountain Home with 20-7 win. Braden Long paced the Goblins with 180 yards rushing. The Goblins led 13-0 at half and put the game away with a long drive in the fourth quarter.
In other Friday Games on MOARK Sports, the Hollister Tigers notch their first win of the season edging East Newton 14-7 while both Forsyth and Reeds Spring lost for the first time this season. The Panthers dropped a 60-35 decision at Buffalo while the Wolves lose a match-up of state ranked teams dropping a 34-7 contest at Nevada.
