A shake-up in two football coaching staffs in the region.
Andy McFarland, who spent five years coaching in the Lakes Region, is leaving his position as Reeds Spring Head Football Coach to take over the program in Willard. McFarland, who spent one year as Head Football Coach in Forsyth before taking the Reeds Spring job in 2020 takes over the Willard program from Frank Tristan who is moving to Springfield Glendale to take over their football program.
McFarland led the Wolves to their best ever season in 2022 as the program made their first appearance in the State Football Championship, claiming second place in Class 3.
The Reeds Spring School District meanwhile has already named McFarland's successor as Assistant Coach/Defensive Coordinator Travis Cagle will lead the program this fall. Cagle is finishing his second year at Reeds Spring after spending the previous five years in the Branson School District as Assistant Coach for the Football Pirates as well as Weight Room Instructor.
