Football Recap: Forsyth Advances, Season Ends for Hollister, Reeds Spring

Week 10, opening round of the High School Football Districts in Missouri Week 9 of the High School Football Regular Season in Arkansas.

Playoffs
Two MOARK Schools had their seasons ended in the first round of Class 3 District Football Action. 

One school knew they would be done as Forsyth hosted Hollister. After the Panthers jumped out to a 25-0 lead in the second quarter, the Tigers started clawing their way back getting to within 12 before the teams started exchanging scores eventually leading to a 46-20 Forsyth win. The Panther defense played a big role in the game, forcing six Tiger turnovers in the win. The Panthers will host East Newton next week as the Patriots got two late scores to rally by Cassville 39-28

Meanwhile in Reeds Spring, the Wolves tough end of the season wrapped up as Aurora's defense also took advantage of turnovers and used several big plays to roll to a 51-14 win. After starting the season 3-1, the Wolves drop five of their last six games to finish the season 4-6.

In other Missouri action, Glendale beats Willard in their first round Class 5 District game, setting up a second trip in as many years to Branson for the Falcons as they will play the top seeded Pirates. Last year, Branson beat Glendale in overtime in the opening round of the playoffs. 

Meanwhile, a tough season for the Harrison Goblins continued as they suffer another tough loss with a loss at Greenbrier 35-28. The Goblins rallied several times, including in the third quarter to tie the game. However Greenbrier answered with two scores then held off another Goblins rally to secure the win. The Goblins will wrap-up their regular season next week at home against Pea Ridge.
