Opening night of the 2021 High School Football Season saw the area teams covered by MOARK Sports go three for four.
The Harrison Goblins rack-up a win in a neutral site game at Harding University knocking off Magnolia 26-7. After the two teams exchanged scores early, the Goblin defense shutdown Magnolia from that point on helping the Goblins grab a 12-7 halftime advantage then pulling away for the final victory
The Hollister Tigers also debut with a win as they play a back and forth game at Monett, but after the Cubs grabbed a 27-26 third quarter lead, the Tigers took charge scoring the final 16 points of the game to claim the win.
Just a few miles west in Granby, the Reeds Spring Wolves pull way from a second quarter tie with East Newton and eventually secure the road win 49-20.
The only team to fall on opening night was the Branson Pirates, despite a first quarter Pick 6 from Jacob McCright the gave the Pirates the early lead, the home Nixa Eagles took control of the game in the second quarter and rolled to a 42-6 win.
Forsyth opens their season on Saturday hosting El Dorado Springs in a game that can be heard at 7:00 on MOARK Sports Dot Com.
