Two Lakes Area High Schools hosted state tennis tournament matches on Monday.
The Branson Pirates continue their undefeated dual match streak as they defeat visiting Grain Valley 5-1 in the Class 2 State Quarterfinals at the Branson Tennis Courts. The Pirates are 21-0 in dual matches this season and will go to the State Semi-finals for the second year in a row. The Pirates finished fourth in the state tournament last year. The state tournament is next week in Springfield.
Meanwhile Forsyth, after winning their first Boys Tennis District since 2008, had their undefeated match run ended in the Class 2 Sectional at Jack Harrison Courts by Bolivar 5-0. The Panthers end their season 13-1. Bolivar went on to win a match later in the day over Rogersville to move on to next week's state tournament.
