Link Academy of Branson, a year after finishing as runner-up, takes home a National Championship this season.
According to an online recap of the game by Scorebook Live, the Lions prevailed over Arizona's Compass Prep 73-55 in Saturday's title game in Florida. During their GEICO National Tournament run, the Lions also picked up a semi-final win over Sunrise Christian, the same team the Lions beat for the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions title back in January in Springfield.
Ja'Kobe Walker, who will play with Baylor next year, led the Lions in scoring with 21 points while junior Tyler McKinley added 17 points. Among the other highlights for the three-game national tournament was Elliot Cardeau, a junior who has committed to North Carolina, setting a tournament record for assists with 29.
Link Academy finished the season with a 27-1 record.
Link Academy is part of the Link program that operates out of Camp Kanakuk location during the school year. Previously, Link has established a prep school that had teams playing in games and tournaments around the country.
