The three teams covered by MOARK Sports in High School Football Action Friday night each went down to defeat in different ways.
For the Branson Pirates, they faced off at home against Class 5 Number 2 Ranked Carthage Tigers and the visitors got to business building a 35-0 halftime lead and eventually winning 42-14. The Pirates scored both of their touchdowns in the final quarter, including one in the final 30 seconds, to avoid the shutout.
The Forsyth Panthers meanwhile fell behind early at Skyline on the road 22-0 then answered with 20 straight points to get back into the game before the home team regained control and notched the win 42-26.
The Farmington Cardinals did one better, the actually rallied from a 35-10 halftime deficit to stun the Harrison Goblins in the 5A West opener at FS Garrison Stadium 36-35. The loss is the Goblins first of the season.
