The Press Release below is from the Mid-Lakes Conference:
During a special session Mid-Lakes Conference Meeting on Friday, September 22, 2023, the Mid-Lakes Conference voted in favor or adding Hollister, Springfield Catholic, and Reeds Spring to the Mid-Lakes Conference beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.
"On behalf of the Mid-Lakes Conference, the superintendents are excited to welcome Hollister, Springfield Catholic, and Reeds Spring to what we feel is one of the strongest conferences in Southwest Missouri” Mid-Lakes Conference President Dr. Mark Hedger of Strafford stated. “We believe the addition of these quality school districts provides the MLC with the ability to enhance educational and extra-curricular opportunities while creating excellent competition avenues for all students.”
Currently the Mid-Lakes Conference consists of five schools; Clever, Fair Grove, Forsyth, Skyline, and Strafford. The addition of Hollister, Springfield Catholic, and Reeds Spring will bring the total number of conference schools to eight. The eight schools will be working cooperatively the remainder of this school year in preparation of beginning competition in the expanded Mid-Lakes Conference during the 2024-25 school year.
