Friday action from MOARK High School Basketball teams saw a Conference and a District Champion Crowned.

Harrison Claims 5A West Championship
Although their spot as the top seed out of 5A West to the State Tournament was secure, the Goblins were looking to secure the spot all alone at the top of the conference standings. While the trailed for a good part of the game, the Goblins rallied to get an early fourth quarter lead and made it stand holding off Russellville 73-69. Maddox Bell led the Goblins with 21 points while Ryder Scribner added 20 to pace the Goblins, who lost only once in 14 conference games. The Goblins will move on to the 5A State Tournament at Greene County Tech next week taking on Little Rock Catholic in the opening round.

Meanwhile, the Lady Goblins fell just short of making the state tournament, but they finish the season with a win, rolling by Russellville 50-36. The Lady Goblins finished one game behind Alma for the final spot in the state tournament and finish the season with an overall record of 16-14.

Blue Eye Claims Class 2 District Title
The second seeded Bulldogs pulled off the win over top seeded Crane in the Boys District Title Game Friday Night in Purdy 47-44. The Bulldogs built a big lead on the Pirates then had to withstand a furious rally that saw Crane tie the game in the final moments before Blue Eye finished the game with three straight points to claim the district. The Bulldogs will host Pleasant Hope in the Class 2 Sectional Game Monday night.

Other Friday Games
Reeds Spring closed out their regular season with a trip for their teams to Buffalo in a make-up from last week's snow storm. The Wolves dropped a 56-50 decision to the Bison while the Lady Wolves edged out the Lady Bison 42-38.

Today on MOARK Sports
The final regular season game on MOARK Sports is this afternoon at 1:00 as the Forsyth Lady Panthers host Dixon while the Blue Eye Girls will play for a Class 2 District Championship as the Lady Bulldogs host top-seeded Marionville at 2:00.
