After a couple of days off due to Winter Storm Cora that roared through the Ozarks, MOARK Sports was back online with four games Saturday.
Forsyth, Branson Boys on the Road
The Panthers started the day with a game at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar as part of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Classic. Forsyth kept adding to their lead over the Clinton Cardinals and finished the game on a Continuous Clock after taking a 30 point fourth quarter lead ending with a 75-38. Chris Halbrook and Tamarkus Holmes each had 17 points to lead the Panthers to the win.
Later in the day, the Branson Pirates played their game at Rolla originally scheduled for Friday. The Pirates had a nine point lead late in the first half, but an 18-0 run for the Bulldogs from there into the third quarter flipped the script, and the home team held on for an 81-69 win. The game featured 30 plus points for a player from each team with the Pirates Jayce Culver and the Bulldogs Ethan Brown each netting 31 points.
Sparta Girls Tournament
Area teams played in the twice second day of the Sparta Lady Trojan Classic. Chadwick knocked off Hollister 57-36 while Reeds Spring outscored Forsyth 58-46.
In other games involving area teams, the Hollister Boys defeated Willow Springs 65-62.
