A pair of Arkansas Schools punch a ticket to Championship Weekend in Conway while many Missouri schools were involved in Baseball and Track postseason events.
Harrison's Girls and Green Forest's Boys will play for State Soccer Championships next weekend with the Lady Goblins prevailing over the host team in the 5A Semi-final Saturday, knocking off Valley View 2-1 while in Harrison, the Tigers rolled over CAC 4-1 in the 3A Semi-finals. The two teams will play Pulaski Academy and Haas Hall Academy in the championship matches next weekend. Exact times will be announced early next week with the completion of the other tournaments around the state.
Two other schools fell short in their bid for state soccer final appearances. The Green Forest Girls lost their match to CAC in Harrison 6-0 while the Berryville Boys dropped a 1-0 match to De Queen 1-0 in Robinson.
In Missouri, several sites worked around thunderstorms to get opening round District Baseball games as well as several track meets.
Several individuals won District Track and Field events or placed high enough to move on to the next round of postseason. Details will be on a separate recap on MOARK Sports Dot Com.
In Baseball, Reeds Spring loses a pitchers dual in the last inning, with three errors playing a big role in a 2-1 loss to Seneca in Cassville in a Class 4 District game heard on MOARK Sports. Also on MOARK Sports Saturday, Blue Eye loses a 3-2 game at home to Marionville in Class 2.
