Baseball and Soccer Districts for Area Teams continued and began on Monday.
Baseball
The Class 4 District Baseball Tournament in Hollister saw the two top seeds advance to this evening's championship game.
Hollister claimed a 6-1 win over Forsyth in the third meeting of the teams this season with each team having one a game a piece. The Panthers got the early lead but then the Tigers capitalized on several Forsyth miscues to grab the lead in the fourth inning and go on to the win. The Tigers will meet up with top seed Rogersville in this evening's 6:30 district title game. The Wildcats used a late surge to knock-off Ava 18-8.
Today, two District Baseball Games will be covered on MOARK Sports. Reeds Spring is playing in another Class 4 District, this one in Aurora and the second seeded Wolves will face off against Mount Vernon at 6:30. Meanwhile in Branson, the Pirates are hosting an area Class 5 District and will match-up with Bolivar tonight at 7:00. The games at Pirate Park start at 1:00 and in order, will feature Willard against Parkview, West Plains against Marshfield and Glendale against Hillcrest prior to the Pirate-Liberator Game.
Soccer
The top seeded Branson Lady Pirates open Class 2 district play with a shutout win over McDonald County 8-0. The Lady Pirates will play in the semi-finals on Wednesday against Webb City in Carl Junction.
