North Ark Splits Regional Championship Games

The North Arkansas College Pioneers and Lady Pioneers played for NJCAA Regional Championships in front of their home crowd at Pioneer Pavilion on Saturday.

The teams, coming off nail-biting semifinal wins on Friday, end up splitting the title games. The Pioneers, the top seed in the regional, pull away to a 96-77 win over SAU Tech in the finals while the second-seeded Lady Pioneers fall to the top seed in the region, National Park, in a 56-49 decision. 

The North Ark Men and the National Park Women will move on to the next round of postseason, the District Championship, next Saturday with both teams playing at North Central Missouri in Trenton.
