Saturday MOARK Basketball: Reeds Spring Takes Galena Tournament

MOARK Saturday Basketball features a tournament championship for an area team and several other teams winning tournament finales.

Reeds Spring Claims Galena Title
Last week, the Reeds Spring Lady Wolves finished second in the Sparta Lady Trojan Classic. This week, the take home the top spot in another tournament. The Lady Wolves roll by Southwest 54-27 to take the tournament title. Saylor Johnson scores 23 points and is named the Tournament Most Valuable Player. 

Branson Teams Take 3rd, 5th
The Branson Pirates wrap-up play at the Bill Hanson Memorial Tournament with a win over host Pittsburg, Kansas in the consolation final. Branson also wins the Kiley Roelfs Sportsmanship Award for the tournament. 

Meanwhile, the Lady Pirates take third at the Mid America Bank Osage Invitational defeating Richland 53-43. 

Spokane Tournament Wrap-Up
Forsyth takes on he third place trophy as they get by Reeds Spring 77-42. Cassville takes the 5th place game 76-55 over Ash Grove while Southwest knocked off host Spokane 59-36. The tournament championship went to Greenwood, who held off Strafford 47-45.
