Baseball
The Hollister Tigers join the Forsyth Panthers in Lakes Area Teams claiming District Baseball Titles as the Tigers hold off host Aurora 2-1 in the Class 4 Championship Game Thursday afternoon. The Tigers got their two runs in the first three innings then held off the Houn Dawgs including stranding two base runners in the final inning.
The Tigers will host Seneca in the opening round of the Class 4 State Tournament next Tuesday.
Soccer
The Harrison Lady Goblins play for their second consecutive Class 4 State Championship as they take on Pulaski Academy in Benton. The Lady Goblins claimed the last State Championship in 2019 with the 2020 having been cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. In addition to the Lady Goblins, both the Green Forest Girls and Boys Soccer teams will play their counterparts from Harding Academy for the 3A State Championships at 2:00 and 4:00 on Saturday. C of O Baseball
The College of the Ozarks Baseball Team begins play in the NCCAA World Series today in South Carolina. The Bobcats open the tournament this morning at 10:00 EDT against Columbia International and will play later today against Concordia-Ann Arbor. The Bobcats will follow with one pool play game each on Saturday and Monday.
