Harrison Sweeps Siloam Springs
The Boys and Girls each grab wins over Siloam Springs at Goblin Arena Tuesday.
The Boys wrapped up the night keeping their undefeated conference record intact with a 70-56 win. After the visiting Panthers led at the end of the first quarter, a 19-10 second quarter put the Goblins in control and on their way to the win. The Goblins, who are ranked fourth this week in 5A and 10th overall in the Arkansas Sports Media Poll, were led by Ryder Scribner with 19 points,
Meanwhile, the Lady Goblins also had a successful night as they defeated Siloam Springs behind the 16 points of London Lee.
Reeds Spring Grabs Galena Tournament Opener
The Lady Wolves, seeded second at the Galena Lady Bear Classic, take their first round game over Billings 51-21 and advance to Thursday's semi-final against Hurley, who defeated New Covenant Academy in their first round game on Monday.
Forsyth Drops Hard Fought Contest
Three days off of their second win of the season, the Lady Panthers took Sparta to the final minutes of their game in Forsyth Tuesday but fell just short 63-57. While Forsyth led most of the first quarter, a 10-0 run for the Lady Trojans in the second quarter put Sparta ahead. The visitors at one time led by nine in the second half but Forsyth surged back and was able to grab a four point lead only to see Sparta tie the game and eventually score the final six points to get the win. Lauren Turner had 19 points to lead Forsyth.
Other Games
The Forsyth Boys took their opening round win at the Spokane Tournament knocking off Southwest 102-40. The Panthers will take on Strafford in the semi-finals on Thursday.
