Anastacia “Tacing” Gresser, 77 of Branson, MO
Anastacia “Tacing” Gresser was a caring wife, devoted mother, loving sister, and trusted friend. She left this world suddenly on July 5, 2021 at age 77. Tacing was found in her home sitting on her couch watching her favorite shows on The Filipino Channel while her loyal dog Ashley stayed by her side.
Tacing was born to Alejo and Isabel Feliciano on November 16, 1943 in the farming town of San Vicente, San Miguel, Bulacan in the Philippines. As the eldest of seven siblings, Tacing wanted to help the family financially. Without even finishing high school, the farmer’s daughter with big dreams explored the city of Manila to become a seamstress.
In 1978, Tacing moved to the U.S.A. to realize her American dream. She lived and worked as a dressmaker/patternmaker in various places from New York City to Chicago to Merrillville, Indiana where she met the love of her life, Alphonse “Al” Gresser. Tacing loved to travel and Al took his queen wherever her heart desired. In 1999, the couple retired to Branson, Missouri.
Tacing loved living in Branson. As a devout Catholic, she attended mass regularly at Our Lady of the Lakes and joined the church group to travel to Rome and the Holy Land. She became a member of the city’s fun entertainment scene by working as a seamstress for Shoji Tabuchi. She was known around town as a sweet and nice lady who always had a ready smile to brighten everyone’s day. Tacing is survived by her only son Manny, sisters Teresita and Patrocinia, and brother Felino, and fur baby Ashley.
A Catholic mass in her honor is scheduled for 5:30 pm on Wednesday, July 14th at Our Lady of the Lake Church (203 Vaughn Dr., Branson) followed by memorial service/visitation from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at KSE Funeral Home (15945 US-160, Forsyth). In lieu of flowers, please donate to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church on her behalf.
