Andres Melendez, cherished son of Tony & Lynn Melendez and adored brother of Marisa Melendez, entered into rest on Friday, April 29, 2022 at home in Branson at the age of 24.
Andres Cristian Melendez was born on July 24, 1997 in Rivas, Nicaragua and resided for a short time in Hickory Creek, Texas with his parents, Jose Antonio Melendez and Lynn (Zechman) Melendez and his older sister, Marisa Ana Melendez. In 1999, he and his family moved from Texas to Branson, Missouri. He attended and graduated from Branson High School where he was an accomplished soccer player and made the All-State Soccer Team. Andres enjoyed numerous outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, horseback riding, snowboarding, long boarding, and more. He attended Missouri Institute of Welding in Nevada, MO and worked as a traveling welder.
Andres was an energetic young man with a true zest for life. He always made a grand entry. His quick wit, impetuous spirit, compassionate heart, and his presence will be missed beyond measure.
Andres was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jose Melendez.
Rosary services will be Friday evening, May 6, 2022 at 5:30 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson. Funeral Mass will follow at 7:00 PM.
