Beloved mother and grandmother, Barbara Dixon, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at her home in Springfield.  Graveside services will be Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Mincy Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Stanley.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.

Barbara Ellen Dixon was the daughter of Luther & Anna Mae (Daley) Scruggs, born to them on August 22, 1938.  Barbara grew up in Branson and graduated from Branson High School.  On October 30, 1955 she married Stanley Dixon at the First Baptist Church in Branson.  Barbara was a devoted and loving wife and mother to her three boys.  She worked outside the home at Hart’s Supermarket in Branson and then served several years as Taney County Treasurer until her retirement.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Florence and Jessie.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Dixon and wife Angie of Alpena, AR, Phil Dixon and wife Thecia of Battlefield, MO and Jeff Dixon and wife Patty of Polo, MO.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Greg, Kyle, Ryan, Abby, Lynette, Bradley, Lathan and Logan along with fourteen great-grandchildren and several friends and extended family.
