Betty Dunn, 78 of Kirbyville, MO

Services for Betty Dunn, 78 of Kirbyville, will be Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Riverview Bible Baptist Church in Forsyth with Pastor Jim Brooks officiating.  Burial will be in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.  Visitation will be held Friday evening, July 16, 2021 from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.

 Betty Mae (Newton) Dunn was born on September 7, 1942 in Apache, OK to Bert and Gladys (Loftis) Newton.  Betty went to nursing school to become a L.P.N. and then worked at Anadarko Hospital in Oklahoma.  Betty moved to this area in 1989 from Oklahoma.  She was the food service coordinator for Stonecroft Conference Center in Hollister.  On March 5, 2011, she married Verlin Dunn in Forsyth, MO.

 Betty enjoyed traveling, collecting light houses and cross stitch.  She was adventurous and loved the outdoors including fishing, riding four wheelers and watching deer and birds.  Betty was also a faithful servant and taught Sunday School and was active in church choir.  She had the gift of hospitality and it showed in her love and care for those around her.

 Betty entered into rest on Friday, July 9, 2021 in Kirbyville.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wallace Bert Newton.

 Betty is survived by her husband, Verlin Dunn of Kirbyville; children, Regina Yates (Glenn) of Spring, TX,  Leon Gregory of Murfreesboro, TN, Terri Woods of Branson and Nick Watson (Cookie) of Rolla, MO along with ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; six stepchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
