Bob Dixon, 79, of Kirbyville Missouri, passed away September 5, 2024 after a brief illness.
He was a proud, lifelong resident of Kirbyville/Mincy. He was born the youngest of ten to Emitt and Hallie Dixon, on September 14, 1944. He met and married Barbara in 1969, and they were married over 51 years before her passing in 2020.
They raised four children; Ruth (Ron) Johnson, Myron (Beth) Dixon, Norma (Roland) Desrochers, and Helen Christensen which gave them nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Chet (Ardy) Dixon; sister Bonnie (Cooper); and his loving companion Myrtle Booth.
Bob was an active member of over fifty years of the Branson Masonic Lodge #587, also member of the Taney County Shrine Club, Scottish Rite of Joplin, and the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine of Springfield. He called Mincy Full Gospel Church his home church. His career of choice was construction and he mastered many areas of it.
Services will be held at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, September 9, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am officiated by Pastor Scott Coffelt and Masonic Rites by Bob Huels. Bob will be laid rest at Mincy Cemetery.
