Brendan Arthur Mathis, age 21, of Purdy, Missouri.

Brendan Arthur Mathis, age 21, of Purdy, Missouri passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at his home.

He was born February 18, 2003 in Wyandotte, Michigan the son of Justin and Jaimie (Gordanier) Mathis, who survive. Also surviving are paternal grandparents, Stephen and Carrie Mathis of Walnut Grove, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Paul Gordanier and his wife Annette of Wyandotte, Michigan and Peggy Brunk and her husband Dale of North Pole, Alaska; brother, Ronan Mathis of Springfield, Missouri and two sisters, Areanias Mathis of Pleasant Hope, Missouri, and Cheyenne Beasley of Kent, Washington.

Brendan graduated in 2021 from Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Missouri. He enjoyed playing video games, remote control cars, and taking apart and fixing various things. Brendan’s love for bright orange was well-known among his family and friends. Most of all, Brendan will be remembered for the way he touched the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Reverend Stephen Mathis will conduct the services.  Attendees are invited to wear something bright orange in his memory.
