Carleen Holly Butterworth, age 55, of Cassville, Missouri went to be with her Lord and meet other family and friends that went on before on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
She was born June 7, 1969 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Curtis Hay, Sr. and Sharon (Yancey) Hay. On August 3, 2013 in Washburn, Missouri she was united in marriage to Todd Butterworth, who survives. Also surviving are her parents, Curtis Hay, Sr. and Sharon Hay of Granby, Missouri; mother-in-law, Rita Bow of Elkton, Missouri; two sons, Christopher Bailey and his wife Stacy of Rogers, Arkansas and David Clark, Jr. of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter, Heather Edwards of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Curtis Hay, Jr. and his wife Mary of Healdton, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Jesse, Landon and Chase and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Carleen attended school in Diamond, Missouri graduating from Diamond High School. She was employed by Able 2 in the drafting department for a few years before becoming a Mary Kay Consultant for several years. Some of her favorite pastimes were quilting, crocheting, traveling and going to the movies. Carleen enjoyed going to shows in Branson and going to Silver Dollar City, attending Farkle and Bunco gaming groups and attending the church activities and trips with the ladies of Mission Baptist Church, where she was a member.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 17, 2025 at Mission Baptist Church in Washburn, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Dayton Brattin will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
