Charles Kenneth Silverest, 84, of Forsyth, Missouri.
Charles Kenneth Silverest, 84, of Forsyth, Missouri went on to be with his Lord on January 29, 2025. He was born to Curtis Alfred and Mary Margaret (Wilson) Silverest, on January 15, 1941, in Dearborn, Michigan. Charles married the love of his life Stella (Barker) Silverest in Pontiac, Michigan, on July 25, 1964. To this union they were blessed with five children.
Charles graduated from Utica High School in Michigan. After graduating he moved to California where he joined the carpenters’ union and worked his way up to Journeyman. Charles worked for both Gary Harding Company and Mid Coast Construction. He was also a business owner of a sports shop and a donut shop.
Whenever he was not working, Charles was a Cub Scout leader and a member of the JC political group in Moorpark, California. He later moved to Henderson, Nevada, and then ultimately came to Forsyth, where he enjoyed spending his time fishing. Charles was a member of the Grace Apostolic Church in Forsyth.
Charles leaves behind his loving wife Stella Silverest; four sons, Keith Silverest (Jamie) of Clemmons, North Carolina, Kenneth Silverest of Forsyth, Charles Silverest (Paula) of Willard, Missouri, Curtis Silverest (Elizabeth) of Sedalia, Missouri; one daughter Karrie Silverest of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Richard Silverest (Shelba) of Colts, North Carolina; one sister, Carolyn Silverest of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Curtis Alfred and Mary Margaret (Wilson) Silverest; three brothers, Thomas, Jack, Curtis; four sisters, Ina May, Gloria, Marsha, and Geri.
Memorial service for Charles Silverest will be held at Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel on Friday, February 14, 2025, 11:00 AM with Pastor Ben Baldridge officiating.
