Connie Gean Callaway, age 71, Forsyth, Missouri
Connie Gean Callaway, 71 of Forsyth, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, was joyously received into our Lord's arms on August 15, 2023 in Branson, MO. Born on September 11, 1951, in Newport, AR, Connie exhibited love, faith, and creativity throughout her life.
Married to her devoted husband, Tony Callaway, on August 23, 1988, in Floral, AR, Connie spent the majority of her life as a dedicated homemaker. She had a warm, welcoming spirit and considered you family when you entered her home. She had a fun loving, feisty demeanor and loved to sing and dance! Beyond her domestic realm, Connie was energetically involved in her church, leaving lasting impressions as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher, while also serving on various mission trips abroad.
Connie's creative flair was evident in her many hobbies including sewing, quilting, and gardening. A fantastic cook, she prepared scrumptious meals for her family and friends. She also enjoyed the big task of watching after Tony and keeping him in line which made for countless memories and stories.
Connie is survived by her loving husband, Tony; her children, William Lee Howard and wife Marcia of Sherman, IL, Jackqulin Morrison and husband Mark of St. Robert, MO, and step-son, Tony Callaway and wife Aileen of Suisun City, CA. She was predeceased by her parents Norman and Alice Thomason, son Larry Howard, and siblings, Floyd Bowman, Jackie Payne, and Deloris Reeves. Her surviving siblings include Alice Bullard and husband Gary, and Carol Baker and husband Roy. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Ayla, Ivy, Mikayla, Luke, Veletta, Matthew, Alex, Rachel, and Julius, and six precious great-grandchildren.
Offering a lifetime of love, service, compassion, and creativity, Connie's memory will forever be etched into the hearts of her beloved ones.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
