Connie “Ray” Dick, age 77, of Golden, Missouri.
Connie “Ray” Dick, age 77, of Golden, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born January 24, 1944 in Delaware County, Oklahoma, the son of Charley Everett and Alma Jane “Dickson” Dick. On February 11, 1965 in Reno, Nevada, he was united in marriage to Margaret Nice, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Raymond Dick and his wife Midge Dick of Siletz, Oregon; one daughter, Melina James of Golden, Missouri; a twin sister, Bonnie Fay Blankenship of Noel, Missouri; four grandchildren, Tiffani Cuyler, Courtney Shepard, Natasha Kay and Marrissa Rhoads; eight great grandchildren, Alex, Aiden, Audric, Gabrial, Payton, Xander, Johnathon and Valerie and one nephew, Kenneth Dick of Jay, Oklahoma.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Danette Kay Stillwell; one brother; one sister and a great grandson, Lucus Briggs.
Ray was raised and received his education in Oklahoma graduating from Jay High School in Jay, Oklahoma. After moving to Gold Beach, Oregon he was employed by Gold Beach Plywood as a forklift operator in the plywood mill. Ray and Margaret later moved to Kenwood, Oklahoma staying there until 1985 when they returned to Oregon. In 1992 they moved to the Golden, Missouri area from Lincoln, Oregon. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and being outdoors. Papa loved to take Xander to the woods to look for deer. He was a member of the volunteer fire department in Golden and a member of First Baptist Church of Carr Lane.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Viney Creek Cemetery in Golden, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Johnny Lee will conduct the service.
