Daniel Allen Rose, age 91, of Washburn, Missouri passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He was born October 29, 1930 in Warrens, Wisconsin, the son of Leland and Gertrude (Paddock) Rose. On February 24, 1951 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho he was united in marriage to Billie Martonne, who preceded him in death on March 27, 2019. Also preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers and one sister.
Surviving is one sister, Lucille Rose Roof and her husband Harley of Tomah, Wisconsin and one sister-in-law, Shirley Thomas of Washburn, Missouri.
Daniel grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from high school in Tomah. During the Korean War he served in the United States Army as a Corporal, serving from October 12, 1948 until July 14, 1952. He served his apprenticeship as a plant mechanic and certified welder for G.E. Atomic Energy Commission for ten years. For twenty-two years he worked as a mechanical engineer for G.E. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1986 he moved to Washburn, Missouri to make his home. One of his favorite pastimes was operating his Ham Radio (amateur) for over sixty years. He was a life member of VFW Post 4207.
Services with military honors will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 6, 2021, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends after the service at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
