Diane Elaine Degonia, age 78, of Branson, Missouri
Diane Elaine Degonia, age 78, of Branson, Missouri, passed away February 18, 2023. She entered this life January 1, 1945, in San Fernando Valley, California, the daughter of Gilbert and Mildred (Trottier) Lloyd.
As a wife, a mother, grandmother and office manager, Diane did everything from the heart. She was a helper in every way. When given a husband, an old house, and more children, she created a home for two broken families. Creativity rolled off her tongue through poetry, music, and “silly songs.” Hospitality was in her nature, and if there was a need anywhere, she would fill it. Diane loved her grandbabies and sought in many ways to create gatherings to see them all and create memories. She had a love for horses and dogs, playing guitar, and worship music on the piano. Diane may not have been the most famous in this world, but the scattered seeds of love everywhere she went and into the people she met, created her own garden to sprout. The love and memories created with her over a lifetime will be greatly cherished by all who knew her.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Wayne Degonia; husband, Albert William Olson; son, Richard Dean Degonia; two sisters: Donna Mae Smith and Gail Benci; stepson, James Olson; and granddaughter, Katie.
Diane is survived by her son, Darryl (Shelly) Degonia of Eastvale, California; daughter, Diedre Archer of Branson, Missouri; two stepdaughters: Jeane (David) Wilson of Bend, Oregon and Joanie (Renado)Mendes of Bend, Oregon; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; sister, Bertie Hakker of Kingsburg, California.
No formal service is planned, but family would like to encourage all her loved ones to express their love and honor through her online website. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com
