Dorcas Agnes Haney

Dorcas Agnes Haney, age 83 of Cassville, Missouri

Dorcas Agnes Haney, age 83 of Cassville, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at her home.

She was born January 29, 1939 in Oakmont, Pennsylvania the daughter of Harry Michael and Emma (Wadsworth) George. On June 5, 1954 in Ontario, California she was united in marriage to the love of her life Dale Haney, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Nathan Haney and his wife Lou Ann of Cassville, Missouri, Shannon Haney and his wife Dove of Cassville, Missouri and Jon Haney and his wife Gayla of Monett, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Connie Haney of Cassville, Missouri; one brother Ruben; one sister, Deborah; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Marty Haney; father-in-law, Carl Haney; mother-in-law, Allie Haney and eleven siblings.

Dorcas attended Colton High School in Colton, California. She and Dale spent most of their married life raising their family in the Oakdale, California area. After visiting this area and loving it, Dale and Dorcas along with their family members moved here from Mountain Ranch, California in 1993. They moved their family business, Haney Construction Company here as well. You didn't have to talk to Dorcas long to know she loved the Lord, her husband and her family.  She lived her life for the Lord and enjoyed telling others about His love for them. She devoted her life to Dale and their boys, playing football or baseball with them when they were younger, volunteering at their school, cooking and helping with the family business in any way she could. As each son married, the wives, and later grandchildren and great-grandchildren, became hers to dote upon. She wrote poems telling of her love for the Lord and her family and friends.  She was generous in her love, time, and thoughtfulness.  Dorcas lived to go to heaven, and witnessed to others so she could take everyone with her.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville, Missouri. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend Leonard Sansom will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville.
