Edward Martin “Ed” Gallagher, age 86, of Cassville, Missouri

                  Edward Martin “Ed” Gallagher, age 86, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his home.

            He was born July 8, 1937 in Abington, Pennsylvania the son of Martin Edward and Helen Frances (McDonald) Gallagher. On December 3, 1960 in Orléans, France he was united in marriage to Earlene Coulter, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Brian Patrick Gallagher and his wife Valerie of Washington, Virginia; five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

            Preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Brenda Senko; two sisters, Frances, and Elaine and one grandson, Brian Patrick Gallagher II.

            Ed attended school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania graduating from Catholic High School. He later attended California State University in Long Beach where he attained a bachelor’s degree in economics. Ed was employed by Riverside County Flood Control in Riverside, California from where he retired in 1998. He loved traveling and going to museums. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cassville.

            Private services will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
