Eric Christopher Edson, 47.

Eric Christopher Edson was born on November 10, 1976 in Springfield, MO. He lived in Hollister, MO till the age of 5 when they moved to Omaha, AR. There he attended grade school and Jr. High School. Eric was in Boy Scouts, and he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and The God and Country Award. After high school, Eric joined the United States Army where he served 4 years and was honorably discharged. Eric was married to Nalyn Jeffery on March 29, 2013. He departed this life on August 25, 2024 at the age of 47.

Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tom & Maxine McCord and his uncle Sherman Mitchell.

He is survived by three children, Payton Charlie Lu Rawe, Maddison Nicole Edson and Christopher Eric Edson; two stepchildren, Nevaeh Page and Kyra Page. His parents, Wayne and Rebecca Edson of Nixa, MO. His sister, Raeann Brinley and her husband Nicholas, niece Alia Brinley and nephew Owen Brinley all of Sarcoxie, MO and his paternal grandparents, Robert & Milda Edson of Branson, MO and former spouse, Nalyn Edson of Kirbyville.

As a boy he learned to hunt and fish with his Grandpa McCord and he enjoyed that throughout his life. He had a way with animals and always had some sort of pet to keep him company. Some of them were very strange. The last 10 years he was an over-the-road truck driver. He really enjoyed that it was one adventure after another. Eric dearly loved his children and was fortunate to spend his last week with them camping out and enjoying the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of Eric’s life will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory in Branson. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm with the service to begin at 1:00 pm.  Eric will be interred at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 pm on September 13 with full military honors.
