Florencio Villa Leiva, age 76, of Purdy, Missouri passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at his home.
He was born February 23, 1948 in San Jose de las Corrientes, Mexico the son of Francisco Villa and Magdalena Leiva. Florencio was united in marriage to Sanjuana Arroyo Carrillo in Mexico in 1967, she survives. Also surviving are four sons, Jose Villa and his wife Estela of Purdy, Missouri, Alvaro Villa and his wife Mary of Purdy, Missouri, Lorenzo Villa and his wife Maria of Purdy, Missouri, and Gustavo Villa of Ft. Worth, Texas; six daughters, Genoveva Villa and her husband Isaias Rodriquez of Mexico, Maria Magdalena of Georgia, Esperanza Villa of Chicago, Illinois, Margarita Villa and her husband Miguel Rodriguez, Rosalba Villa and her husband Jose Manuel Rueda of Purdy, Missouri and Odetth Villa and her husband Jose Miguel of Monett, Missouri; two brothers, Francisco Villa of Mexico and Gregorio Villa of Mexico; four sisters, Gumercinda Leiva of Mexico, Gabriela Villa of Mexico, Francisca Villa of Mexico and Porfiria Villa of Mexico; 30 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his parents.
Florencio was a crop farmer and raised cattle. He enjoyed being around animals, especially horses. Above all he loved being with his family, seeing everyone happy and visiting with his friends. Florencio was of the Catholic faith. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 1, 2025 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Burial will be held at a later date at San Jose Cemetery in San Jose de las Corrientes, Mexico.
