Frances Lou Timmons Anderson, age 87, Branson, Missouri

Frances Lou Timmons Anderson passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the home of her daughter, Cindy Anderson Fry in Branson, Missouri. She was 87 years old.

Frances (Fran) was born on December 25, 1935, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Charles and Dorothy Bailey Timmons of Martinsville, Indiana. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1953 and married Joseph Aaron Anderson in 1956. They lived in Lebanon, Indiana, where they raised two children: daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) and son, Timothy (Tim).

Fran worked as a doctor’s assistant for Dr. James McAfee for 10+ years, then became a bookkeeper for Witham Hospital and also worked in the treasurer’s office at the Boone County Court House in Lebanon, Indiana. She loved traveling with her family, seeing all 50 states, mostly by camping in various state and national parks. Last year she traveled to Sweden to visit her youngest grandchild and husband (Brittany and Simon), accompanied by her daughter, son-in-law (Terry and Cindy), and grandchildren: Kyle Frump and Kendra Anderson.

She also loved serving her community as a Girl Scout leader, member of the First Baptist Church of Lebanon, and enthusiastic supporter of her children’s activities. Later, Fran and Joe built a lake house at Heritage Lake near Danville, Indiana, and enjoyed fishing and boating with their children, grandchildren and many other friends and family.

After her beloved husband died in 1987, she spent several years in Boynton Beach, Florida. She later returned to the Midwest, living in St. Charles, Missouri, and finally Branson, Missouri, where her daughter and son-in-law currently reside.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Terry) Fry of Branson, MO; son, Tim (Tammy) Anderson of Plainfield, IN; and grandchildren: Brittany (Simon) Larsson of Karlskrona, Sweden, Kyle Frump of Middletown, MO, Justin Anderson of Murietta, CA, and Kendra Anderson of Plainfield, IN. She also has two step-grandchildren: Nick and Tim (Melissa) Fry of St Charles, MO. Fran was blessed to have 3 great-grandchildren: Ryu and Cal Elle Anderson of Murietta, CA, and Everleigh Fry of St Charles, MO. She is also survived by many beloved nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

She was proceeded in death by her parents: Charles and Dorothy Timmons; stepmother, Edna Timmons and her husband, Joseph Anderson; two sisters: Mary (Calvin) Anderson and Helen (Vern) Stingley; two stepsisters: Betty (Lawerence) Wing and Beverly (David) Jones; and two grandchildren: Bryan Joseph Frump and Tricia Michelle Anderson.

Frances will be interned at 12:00 p.m. on December 9, 2023, next to her husband at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana, followed by a Celebration of Life and luncheon from 1-3 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 2140 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon, IN.
