Gary Wayne Darosett was born on November 13, 1952 in Columbus, Indiana.  He was the son of Thaddeus & Mary (Calvert) Darosett. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, spending much of his time in Da Nang.

In 1977, he met Sherrie Goodman during her first visit to Kansas and it was love at first sight.  They were married on October 1, 1977 in Gladwin, Michigan and had celebrated 46 wonderful years of marriage and being together.  In their early married life, they lived in Kansas and for 21 years in Olathe where Gary worked for the cable company and installed satellites.  His career transitioned into the insurance industry where he worked as a claims adjustor.  His job took him many different places in the United States before  he and Sherrie settled in Reeds Spring in 2004.

Gary was a loving family man.  He cherished time spent with Sherrie, his daughters, grandchildren and extended family.  He will also be remembered for his extraordinary musical talent.  He could play any instrument but especially loved the keyboard and guitar.  He was always the catalyst, getting other musicians together to form a band or to just hangout and jam.

Gary passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 8, 2024.  He is so deeply missed.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roger, David and Jeff Darosett; and one granddaughter, Angel Darosett.

He leaves a legacy of love and beautiful memories with his wife, Sherrie Darosett; daughters, Amanda Hartwell, Stephanie Darosett (Silas Wade), Amy Looney and Debbie Munchmore (Joel); and grandchildren, Tarina Darosett, JaRon Looney, JaVon Looney, Chantel Carter, Samantha Darosett-Wade, Darion Darosett-Wade, Tessa Darosett-Wade, Brinda Darosett-Wade, Neaveh Darosett-Wade, Zoe Hartwell, Willow Hartwell, Owen Munchmore and Anna Xoxo Munchmore.  He will also be missed by his sisters, Mary Lou McCarthy and Kathy Flores; along with his nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.
