Gary Dean Ikerd, 82, of Peel, Arkansas.

Gary Dean Ikerd, 82, of Peel, Arkansas passed away at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas on January 10, 2025. He was born on July 4, 1942, in Bolivar, Missouri, the son of Henry and Dean (Basham) Ikerd.

Gary was at his happiest when supervising kids fishing tournaments. He ran the tournaments at Seeley Lake, Montana for over 10 years. It brought him so much joy. Gary fished nationwide in bass tournaments. He enjoyed old Western movies, old time country music and football. Most of all, Gary loved spending time with his family and friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth Schmidt and then second wife Martha McManus, his parents, his son Michael Ikerd and brother Bill Ikerd. He is survived by his 3 children Christina Martin, Gary (Heather) Ikerd and Brandee Wells, numerous grand and great grandchildren, brother Virgil (Donna) Ikerd, numerous nieces and nephews and so many other friends and family.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
