Harold Raymond Coatney Sr., 72, of Flippin, Arkansas.
Harold Raymond Coatney Sr., 72, of Flippin, Arkansas peacefully passed away at his home on January 27, 2025. He was born in Willow Springs, Missouri on August 29, 1952, the son of Delbert and Mary (Bennett) Coatney.
Harold was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He liked to tinker around on small engines, there wasn’t a whole lot he couldn’t fix. He was a great mechanic. Harold joined the Navy in the early 70’s and served our country for several years and then transferred to the naval reserves. While in service, he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He loved his family and appreciated family gatherings and cookouts. Harold worked at Ranger boats for over 18 years and left there to work at Miller True Value Hardware for many years before retiring. He married Connie on August 31, 2002, and have been together for 22 years.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Mary, his sister Janie Gibbons, grandson Michael Coatney and great grandchild Aiden Parker Davis.
He is survived by his wife Connie, his son Harold (Sharon), his daughter Stephanie (Mark), and Tanya (Clint) and Connie’s two sons John (April) and Ray. Harold had 13 grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Megan, Ashley, Trevor, Haylee, Boe, Dustin, Clayton, Tyler, Makenzie, John and Ray and numerous great grandchildren. Also, Harold leaves behind his extended family and many close friends.
Harold will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved him.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, January 31st, at 2:00PM at Fairview Cemetery in Flippin, Arkansas, with Jack Jefferson officiating.
