Harold Stanley Westcott, Jr., 89 of Cassville, MO

Harold Stanley Westcott, Jr, was born on September 29, 1931 in Niagara Falls, New York. He was the son of Harold Stanley Westcott and Mildred Grace Julias.

As a young man he served on the volunteer fire department and as a Law enforcement officer in Ransomville, New York.  It was here he met and married Marlene Nellie Furman on January 30, 1955. They became the parents of Carl Richard Westcott in 1956.  Harold was employed by Great Lakes Carbon Company and in the 1950s was moved to Lancaster California as part of their new plant administrative team. Here three more children joined their family Janet Lynn, Lee Daniel and Paul David.  Harold & Marlene became members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church where Harold served as an Elder. Both Marlene and Harold became Master Guides in the church youth ministries program known as Pathfinders.

In the late 1960s the Westcott family decided to leave California and move to the Midwest initially heading for Springfield Missouri but when they reached northwest Arkansas, they enjoyed the area so much that they purchased land outside Gravette, Arkansas and settled down. In Arkansas, Harold was employed by Bentonville Casting Company and then Crafton Tull Architects and Engineers for more than 30 years.  He moved to Shell Knob and lived there for five years and retired.  The last ten years he resided in Cassville.

As a past time Harold enjoyed working in his shop and building wood projects including bird houses, picnic tables, and cutting survey stakes. Harold enjoyed time with family both in person and on the Internet.

Harold passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after a short illness, as a result of a stroke.
